I got a credit card. Call me n00b but i've never used paypal =P, since I've never purchased from anywhere other than trusted sites. So unless theres a transaction i absolutely need Paypal for i prolly won't be using it.

Yes, I do have a Credit Card AND a Paypal account, but I prefer to use the Credit Card over PayPal.
Only when a Credit Card option is NOT supported / available (or trusted), then only will I use PayPal.

Hehe - this thread keeps getting ressed. Wonder if Gaile still has it watchlisted
For the record though, I have debit and credit cards but I WOULD use PayPal, cos I'm damn lazy and can pay for stuff with a couple of clicks ^^

I use paypal wherever it is offered. I hate using my credit card details online and try to avoid it if possible. Paypal means that I can track all my purchases immediately without having to wait for statements, and they offer a really accurate exchange rate system. I have it linked to both my bank account and my credit card which means I have lots of options. Suffice it to say that I am in the "I have a credit card but would rather use paypal" camp.
P.S. While we're talking about billing options, when are you going to stop charging Australians in pounds?

I have a Paypal account and UK Credit card. I live and work in Belgium, unfortunately I cant use my credit card in the ingame store unless I use it in the country of issue, so paypal would be a viable option.
Paypal ftw!

I have a Paypal account, I've used my credit card through the online store before, either way is fine with me. Though I think Paypal would be more convenient for some people. The more payment options people have to choose from, ensures Arenanet will get their money.

I do have a credit card, I used to have a paypal account. I can't stand and don't trust paypal (bad experience). Ultimately though, you have just one question to ask yourself: "Are there enough potential customers out there with no other way to purchase that it outweighs the risks/costs?"

Your credit card company should/could have a program that generates 1 time use credit card numbers that link to your account without actually having to give away the information. It's very convenient, and there's no use for third party programs like PayPal.

My checking account is linked to my PayPal, but my debit card works in the online store. Still, I can see why people would rather use PayPal.
Please, allow it

Yeah but only because you bought 5 products does not negate the fact that thousand of people got some major trouble using paypal. Not to mention that paypal is a lot more expensive that paying with a credit card, while a credit card offers more security AND liability.

Perhaps, but i didnt have any extra costs to a product i purchased, i have a verified paypal account on a spare bank account meant for paypal alone, and i only deposit funds when i need something, and when the product sale supports paypal.
I know that you can register your credit card to paypal and to be honest i dont like that idea myself, mainly because it isnt really needed with most online retailers, because most of them automaticly support credit cards.
Still paypal aint to bad, it has also something to do with computer security, which most people dont know jack about, any keyloggers can ruin your day pretty badly, and there are quite a few horror stories on credit cards aswell.
I am not denying that paypal is the ultimate payment option, it isnt, but it is a good alternative to credit cards in a country that dont hand them out so quickly, if i wanted a credit card here in holland i would need a very firm income and thats not gonna happen anytime soon.
Every product i bought was directly delivered to me, no hassle and its just a matter of common sense to scan my hard drives for any spyware, virusses before i ever clicked purchase.

i think paypal would be good for those who dont want to use a credit card, or are too yong for it, but can already work and make their own $$$.
ask mom to register her credit card, but really use your debit?
i dont see why not add paypal as a payment option, i mean, if you shop with your credit card, just do it, if you cant, you can use paypal and pay deit without actually going to a store.

I currently don't own a credit card, and I have some little money in my Paypal that I'd like to use for GW, like the Mission pack.

I think the "No, I would not use PayPal. (Please explain)" option should have an additional question asking if they're from the U.S. or not. It's obvious that people who already have easy access to the online store are not the people wanting this feature. I think the demand comes more from European/Non-U.S. countries like myself who don't have a Visa or Master Card as a standard creditcard. I DO have a creditcard but it's not a Master/Visa Card (it's a Maestro Card for those of you wondering), I'd have to specially request a Master/Visa card just for the sole purpose of being able to use the online store. I think that's why non-U.S. people would like this feature and I think it's relevant to see how many of these naysayers are from the U.S. and how many are not.
